
Before heading into the Mountains check up-to-date trail info, and register your trek intentions with the National Park office in Bariloche, Pampa Linda or online.
A beautiful 2 day trek mainly through trees from Pampa Linda over Paso de las Nubes to Puerto Frias. (Consider combining with the Refugio Otto Meiling)
There may be a static campsite just after the pass (below Glacier Frias) and showers - enquire before you go. Camping with your own tent is still free.
Make sure to buy your tickets for the Boat journey at the end of the trek BEFORE leaving Bariloche, so you know the times and availability. Enquire at the Turisur office for boat times & tarifs. Static Camp only open during the high season, enquire at the National Park Office.

| Notes | Register at the National Park office in Pampa Linda. Trek may not open until the end of December due to the area being very wet. |
Transport:
Bariloche - Pampa Linda: There are tourist services daily in the morning (about 8.15am), returning in the evening at 5pm confirm before travel. Ask at the Mountain Info Centre (AR$ 50 one way) next to Club Andino and opposite at Transito lo Naturaleza (AR$ 45 one way).
Puerto Frias - Puerto Blest: Have to take the boat - this section of trail is currently closed (Jan 2011).
Puerto Frias - Puerto Pañuelo: Tourist boat service 1 or 2 a day. About AR$190
Puerto Pañuelo - Bariloche: Bus Number 20. (every 20 min's during the day AR$ 6)

Camping:
There is a campsite at Pampa Linda (fee payable), or another at Puerto Frias.
En route there are camping areas before or after the pass as per the map.
Route:
The route can be walked in either a North - South or vice verca - check boat times & availability.
Pampa Linda - Puerto Frias
Its a fairly steady trek from pampa Linda, getting steep for the accent just before the pass. The decent is steep but offers excellent views. Most of the second day is spent in the forest with limited views.
