Refugios (mountain huts) in the National Park

(Rates are subject to change. Expect to pay AR$260 - $400 per night to stay including use of kitchen. Expect to pay upto AR$ 1200 for full board to stay the night, use of kitchen, dinner, breakfast, lunch!)

Bariloche has a network of Mountain Huts (Refugios) the majority are operated by Club Andino Bariloche (C.A.B). They provide basic accommodation (mattresses in large bunk style dormitory) only Refugio Frey can (and must) be booked in advance. They offer meals and use of the basic kitchen facilities (for additional fee).

Refugio Frey:

This is one of the most popular huts as it is the most heavily promoted at the Mountain Info Centre and easiest to get to.
In the high season it will be a squash (it is a small hut) and there are comments of poor kitchen facilities.

From the 15th December 2016 you will have to make reservation if you wish to spend the night at Refugio Frey, or camp there. Reservations can only be made a few days in advance and your reservation must be printed off or the voucher downloaded to your cell phone to show when you arrive at the refuge.
